General Non-Permanent Employee (NPE) information
Unscheduled NPE:
- As needed or variable schedule
- May not exceed 6 months at 50% FTE
- May not exceed 12 months (must be under 50% FTE)
- Pay rate is determined by number of years of directly related experience (Placement done by HR)
- Onboarding process similar to hourly onboarding (Supervisor's Guide - Student Hourly & Work-study Onboarding)
Scheduled NPE:
- Consistent set schedule
- May not exceed 12 months without special permissions
- Benefits will be required if over 50% FTE for over 6 months
- Pay rate is determined by number of years of directly related experience (Placement done by HR)
- Recruitment process similar to permanent recruitment/onboarding
