Initiating a Position Recruitment Request

Employee Types:

  • Classified Staff
  • Faculty - Annual Temp, Pro-Rata, Tenure-Track
  • Administrative / Exempt
  • Temporary - Non-Permanent Classified (NPE), Hourly staff (not students or work-study)

Steps: 

  1.  Supervisor completes the Hiring Criteria and Personnel Requisition ("Pers Req") forms with their Executive Team ("ET") member
  2. The ET member reviews the request with the President for approval
  3. Supervisor sends the Hiring Criteria, Pers Req, and documentation of Presidential approval to sccbudget@shoreline.edu
  4. Budget reviews and confirms funding, provides the combo code(s), and forwards all documents to HR
  5. Executive Director of HR bring the recruitment request to the Executive Team meeting for review
  6. If ET and President provide final approval, HR and Budget are updated and a recruiter is assigned to begin the recruitment
  7. HR Recruiter will reach out to the supervisor and/or hiring authority to begin recruitment process discussions within 48 hours
