A Blueprint is a manually created class that the Canvas Admin creates upon instructor request. Using a Blueprint helps instructors who teach the same content in multiple online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses when they can't merge sections due to FERPA guidelines. When synced (associated) with one or more quarter Canvas sections, the Blueprint will copy content and make changes every time the instructor updates and syncs the Blueprint to the associated sections. All grading and student interactions occur in the separate sections. When we can't merge sections for FERPA reasons, we can create a BluePrint course and associate your sections.
