Why can't I register for classes?

Are you trying to register before your enrollment date? 

To find your enrollment date, log into ctcLink, then click Enrollment, followed by Enrollment Dates. Your enrollment date depends on how many credits you have previously completed at Shoreline.

Do you need a permission number?

You might not actually need a permission number, however, ctcLink will ask anyway. Try clicking save without a permission number. If the course does need a permission number, reach out to the professor or your advisor. For more information on permission numbers, view Permission Numbers on our website.

Did you miss the permission number prompt? 

The prompt requiring a permission number can easily be missed. Remove the course from your cart and try enroll from the class search. For more information on permission numbers, view Permission Numbers on our website.

Are you term activated? 

If you are a brand-new or returning Shoreline student, you may need to to be term activated. If you are trying to register for classes but do not see the green enroll button, please email Enrollment Services at enrollmentservices@shoreline.edu. You will receive a response within business 72 hours.

In your email to Enrollment Services, include the following information:

  1. Your full name
  2. Your ctcLink ID
