Overview
Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a method for signing in to something using more than one “factor” to prove your identity. This can include things such as usernames/passwords, security questions, one time codes sent to a mobile device or email, and other “factors” available to prove you are the right person associated with the account. MFA is required when signing into ctcLink and Canvas. This means that you will be required to enter your ctcLink ID and ctcLink password, PLUS an additional verification in order to sign in.
Instructions
- Go to https://gateway.ctclink.us.
- Enter your ctcLink ID and password.
- Check the box Keep me signed in if you want your device to remember your MFA code for 16 hours. This setting needs to be checked for each device that you use. Once this is done, you should only have to enter MFA once each day (per device that you use throughout the day).
- Click Receive a code via SMS button to use the text option on your mobile phone. If you do not want to use this method, skip to Step 6.
- Enter the code sent to your mobile device in the Enter Code box and click the Verify button.
- If you prefer to use a different MFA method, click the text below the blue Verify button that says Verify with something else.
- Select the alternative way that you wish to verify.
- Follow the prompts.
