Academic Advisement Report (AAR) in Advisor Center

There is an AAR in ctcLink for every degree and certificate currently offered.
AARs are programmed into ctcLink and are Effective Dated. All the AARs originally entered in the system have an effective date of 1/1/1901.
- When a change is made to a degree or certificate a new Effective Dated row is entered.
In order for an AAR to be run for a student the student must have a program/plan entered that is a degree or certificate.
- If the program/plan is “Non-Award Seeking” or has not had the AAR programmed the system will not create an AAR for that student.
- This program/plan will have a “Requirement Term” entered on the Student Plan Tab of the Student Program/Plan page. That term will determine which effective dated row of the AAR is used when the AAR is run.
The AAR automatically updates nightly when changes are made to the student record, such as:
- The student registers for a course
- The student drops a course
- A course is graded
- The student’s program/plan is changed
