For the best experience, you'll want to begin this process on a computer. Start by entering your Shoreline Network account username, which ends in @shoreline.edu, and your temporary password.
After typing in your username, you can click the Next button below, then you'll type in your temporary password and click Sign In.
If you don't know your login, you can use the student account tool so you'll receive two emails with your username and password to your preferred e-mail in ctcLink.
For account security, you'll need to set up multi-factor authentication with Microsoft Authenticator.
Next, you'll find a page saying Let's keep your account secure and you can click the Next button again.
On your phone, you'll want to head to your phone's app store, search for Microsoft Authenticator, and download the free app.
Once done downloading, you can open the app up. On the first page, you can decide whether you'd like to share additional data for app improvements. Then click the big Continue button near the bottom.
Looking back to your computer on the Install Microsoft Authenticator page, you'll click the Next button now that you've downloaded the app.
The next screen is titled Set up your account in app, and you can click the Next button again.
Then you'll find a QR code.
Back on the authenticator app, you'll want to click the button near the middle that says Scan QR Code.
You'll aim your phone camera at the QR code on your computer screen to scan the QR code, then Shoreline will be added to the home page of your authenticator.

On your computer, you can click the Next button below the QR code.
The next page says Let's try it out and has a number below it.
On your authenticator app, a dialog box will pop up asking what number is shown on your computer screen and provide you space to type it in.

You'll need to verify yourself to the authenticator using Face ID, your fingerprint, or phone password. After, you'll see a bar at the top that says Approved.

Your computer page will automatically change when you've authenticated on your phone and you'll see a page titled Authenticator Added. You now have your multi-factor authentication set up for your Shoreline Network account and you can click the Done button at the bottom.
Finally, you'll be prompted to personalize your password.
Your old password is the temporary password you were emailed. You can enter a phrase you'll remember in the new password field and type it again in the confirm password field. You'll finish by clicking sign in at the bottom.
