Windows Bitlocker screen on startup
Occasionally, Windows computers will display a Bitlocker Recovery Screen, usually after right after powering on or restarting. These steps will help you get past the screen and get to your desktop.
- Select "Skip The Drive"
- Select Shut Down
- Press the power button on the computer to turn it back on.
📌 Tip: Don't forget to double check that you aren't accidentally pressing the monitor power button instead of the computer's power button.
Alternate option to resolve Windows Bitlocker screen
If the steps above did not work, or you wanted to try a different option, there is another way to get through the Bitlocker screen and access your desktop.
- Select "Skip The Drive"
- Select "Advanced Options"
- Select "Continue"
📌 Tip: This method may take slightly longer than the previous method but is still an acceptable way to resolve the screen.
