What is Splashtop?
Splashtop is a remote access software that allows users to securely connect to and control computers from anywhere.
Who needs Splashtop?
Students that need to run specific software for one or more classes, but who either don't have a device or whose device cannot run the software outside of the classroom. We make some dedicated computers available to students for this purpose.
How do I get Splashtop?
Submit a ticket at https://support.shoreline.edu and request it. Let us know which class you’re taking that needs it so we can assign you appropriately.
I requested Splashtop access, what happens next?
We’ll send an invitation to your Shoreline email account. Follow the instructions to access Splashtop, install the Splashtop App, and get connected.
Best Practices
The remote computer you use today may not be available the next time you need to work, so you should always copy the files you've created to and from the remote computer and your local device. To do this, click the File Transfer button at the top of the screen while connected to a remote computer
or in the app
to start a file transfer session. That way you'll always have a copy of your files and can copy them to the next computer you use.
Troubleshooting
Splashtop says you entered your Splashtop Account.
Click the drop down and enter AzureAD in the next text box, then enter your user name and password for your Shoreline account as usual.

The screen is too small or not shaped right and the text is hard to read
- In the Splashtop App, click Settings
- Click Connection Options
