Overview
Use this document as a reference for how exempt employees report leave and absences. Please note that exempt employees do not have to report time worked but do need to report any leave or absences (vacation and sick time).
Instructions
- Log into ctcLink.
- Select the HCM-Self Service Tile.
- Navigate to HCM Self Service.
- Select the Time tile.
- Select the Manage Absence tile.
- If you have more than one job, choose the correct role under Select a Job.
- Select the type of leave under Absence Name.
For Full Day Off Requests
- In the Reason drop down, select the appropriate reason.
- Select the correct Start Date.
- Select the correct End Date.
- You might want to type an explanation for the leave request in the Comments box.
For Partial Day Off Requests
- In the Reason drop down, select the appropriate reason.
- Select the correct Start Date.
- Select the correct End Date.
- Click on None next to partial days and a Partial Days pop up will appear.
- Select All Days from the drop down menu.
- For a half day, leave the All Days are Half Days toggle on yes.
- For less than half days, toggle to No and type the number of hours not worked.
- Click Done.
- Click Submit.
