How to Set Up an Alert to Notify if Someone Makes Changes to a SharePoint Document

To set up notification alerts on a SharePoint document, click into the SharePoint group:

  • Select the document.
  • Click the ellipsis (three dots).
  • Click Alert me.
  • Select how and when you want to be notified.

 

SharePoint example. There is a red circle around the group name, the three dot drop down menu, the selected document and the Alert me button.
