View or print existing course information - for Faculty

Body

Although it is counter-intuitive, in order to view/print an existing course you must launch a “New Proposal” to pull the course information into a form, after which you will be able to either print it or save it as a PDF. (We hope to develop an easier way to access the information in the future.)

  1. Sign in to Modern Campus (MC) Curriculum.

  1. If you are not currently on the Proposals page, click on Proposals on the top bar.
  2. Click on the + New Proposal button on the right.
  3. Find the form 1. View CURRENT Course Version - Faculty

  1. Click on the Start Proposal icon (the check mark) on the far right.
  2. You will be prompted to search the existing Curriculum Inventory for the course to update.
    1. You can search by Prefix (e.g. HIST or HIST&) and/or Code (Number) and/or Name (Course Title). If you enter information into only one field the search will find all matches for that field.
    2. The source used by this form is the "2025-2026 In Process" catalog draft. This source contains the most current information. To view information from previous years use the View PAST Course Version - Faculty form.
  3. Enter your search criteria then click the Search button. A list of matching courses will display.

  1. Click on the Preview and Build icon on the far right of the course you want to view/print.
  2. A preview of the data to be imported to the form will appear. It is common for some fields to display “[no data]”.

  1. Some fields may display red error text stating "No matches were found" with information about data that could not be imported. This is a known bug in the current version of MC Curriculum and can be ignored.

  1. Once you have verified that the correct course is selected click the Build Proposal button at the bottom of the page.
  2. The View CURRENT Course Version - Faculty form, populated with the course data, will display and be ready to print or save as a PDF.

  1. At the top right of the left pane is a small printer icon. Clicking this icon will open a Print Options window.

  1. Click on the Print Options button on the upper right of the window, then click on the Print Proposal button.

  1. The print options will appear and you can select your destination. “Print to PDF” will save it to a PDF file. If your computer has a network or connected printer you can send it to the printer for a physical copy.

  1. When complete, click on Proposals to return to the Proposals page, then click on the My Proposals tab. You will see this course as an unlaunched proposal on that page.

  1. Click on the trashcan icon to delete the proposal. It is best practice to pull a new copy of the course if needed again, as the course may have been updated.

Note: Viewing and printing previous versions of courses follow the same steps outlined above with two exceptions:

  1. The form used is 1a. View PAST Course Version - Faculty
  2. At step 6.b. choose the source catalog for the year you wish to review.
