How To Report Comp Time

  • Select CTE (compensatory time earned) on your ctcLink timesheet if you are a full-time employee (working 40 hours per week)
  • Select ECT compensatory time earned (1:1) on your ctcLink timesheet if you work less than full-time (scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week)

  • When reporting comp hours for the winter closure, be sure to report the hours you actually spent doing the trainings, up to the number of approved hours on the list. See example below: 
    • Using Gender Inclusive Language, you spent 50 minutes on this training, you would report .75 hours (rounding to the nearest 15 minutes) OR
    • If you spent 75 minutes on the training, you would report 1.0 hours, since the approved time is one hour.
  • Add a comment describing the training on the timesheet, by clicking the small blue button with downward arrow. Then click on Add/View Comments.

  • Add your information as follows:
    • 8/17 – 3.0 hours Diversity Training
    • 8/18 – 1.0 hours Improve Your Focus
  • Then click the Add Comment button.

  • To use your Comp Time, enter CMP on your timesheet and the number of hours used.

  • All Comp Time must be used before using vacation hours.  This includes the hours earned for the winter closure, if you are taking leave before December.
