How do students activate their ctcLink account?

Activate ctcLink Account

If already have a ctcLink ID from another college, you can log in with those credentials. If not, follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to the ctcLink Sign In page at https://m.ctclink.us . 
  2. Scroll down and Click Shoreline Community College. 
  3. Click ctcLink login. 
  4. Select the Activate Your Account link (at the very bottom of the box).

  1. Select the OK button when the redirection pop up message displays.
  2. The Activate Your Account page displays.
  3. Enter your First Name and Last Name. Please make sure you have entered your name correctly. (If your legal name is a single nameā€”such as Pran, Madonna or Nani - you must enter a hyphen (-) in the First Name field and enter your single name in the Last Name field.)
  4. Enter your Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) as shown or use the calendar icon.
  5. From the drop-down menu select:
    • ctcLink ID (new) if you are a new student.
    • SID (old) if you are a current or returning student.
  6. Enter either your ctcLink ID or SID.
  7. Select the Submit button.

Set Your Password

  1. The Set Your Password page displays. This page is used to set up your password and your account recovery options.
  2. Enter you preferred Email address.
  3. Select the Security Question from the dropdown menu.
  4. Provide the Answer to your security question.
  5. Additional Account Recovery options located in the Account Recovery box.
    1. Enter Phone Number for text (SMS) option.
    2. Enter Phone Number for voice option.
  6. Create your Password. (At least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. Special characters may be used but are not required.)
  7. Confirm your Password.
  8. Select the Submit button.

  1. A pop-up message displays.
  2. IMPORTANT: Write down the number, or take a photo of your ctcLink ID.
  3. Select the OK button.

Your account has been activated message

  1. The Account Activation confirmation message displays.

  1. Close ALL browser tabs. 
  2. Open a new browser tab to log into ctcLink.

Log into ctcLink

Once you have activated your account and closed all your browsers, click log into ctcLink and select the ctcLink Login tile.
