Classified Staff
Any staff member can apply at any time for Professional Development funds to help pay for job-related training, seminars or workshops, including public seminars, continuing and community education programs, conferences, vocational training or college classes.

Faculty
Full-Time Faculty
- Our system works in a biennium. For example, we just entered the 2025-2027 biennium.
- Full time faculty can access up to $600 of professional development funds per year. Unused funds from the first year roll over to the second year. The total is $1,200 over the two years.
How to apply for professional development funds:
- Download the application
- Fill out the application and get your Dean's approval
- For reimbursement, submit your completed, approved application to your Unit Administrator
Part-Time Faculty
- Part-Time Faculty can access up to $500 of professional growth funds per year.
- The Part-Time Faculty Professional Growth committee meets monthly between November and April to review and approve requests
How to apply for professional growth funds:
- Download the application
- Fill out the application and get your Dean's approval
- Email your completed, approved application to the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Instruction
- Once the committee makes a decision about your application, you will receive an email with instructions for the next steps
