Do I have to be a full time student to receive financial aid?

No. Most financial aid does not require you to be enrolled full time (12 or more credits). Students who plan to take fewer classes should notify the financial aid office in writing of their enrollment plans. Aid is adjusted based on a student’s enrollment intensity.

Federal Direct Loans, Work-Study and Tuition Waiver programs require enrollment in 6 or more credits to maintain eligibility. Washington College Grant, Shoreline Grant and other state aid programs require enrollment in 3 or more credits.
