Update Preferred Name in ctcLink and Canvas

At Shoreline Community College we recognize that students may want to use a preferred name while attending classes. Students can set a preferred name through ctcLink by following the instructions below. Once the students preferred name is changed in ctcLink, Canvas will automatically be updated. 

1. Go to ctcLink for students.
2. Select Shoreline Community College.

3. Click on the ctcLink Login button. 

4. Enter your ctcLink ID number and password. 

5. After you log in, if you see multiple colleges, please choose Shoreline Community College.

6. Click My Profile in the sidebar menu.

7. Click Biographical Information.

8. Click the pencil on the right side of the screen to update your Preferred Name.
