Online Course Observation eLearning Procedures

Per the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article XXI: eLearning, Section H eLearning Evaluations and Observations, “the faculty being observed will choose whether to allow observer to have a forty-eight-hour access ‘window’ to online course, or to arrange a face-to-face meeting in an amount of time comparable with a face-to-face course; and, the faculty being observed, and the observer, will pre-arrange the level of access the observer will have, with a minimum of Observer Level of access."

Try to continuously update the Online Course Observations form and add new date ranges for the new quarter when you think it is appropriate. Starting on the Tuesday of week three and extending out to the last day of instruction or another 48-hour window person that fits your schedule. Check to see if there are any holidays that fall within the date range and edit the dates to reflect the 48 hour time frame. Some weeks need to be Monday - Wednesday to adjust for holiday breaks.
