Address any emails that come from Instructure

From time to time, the Canvas Admin will receive emails from Instructure/Canvas letting us know of an issue, integration warnings, ticket updates, etc. Most of these are just FYIs so you might not need to respond. 

  • Integration Warnings – no need to respond, the ongoing issue is the way ctcLink is now set up in Canvas.  There is a timing issue between creation of accounts in ctcLink and in Canvas.  You can just delete those emails. Here is an example of what that will look like: 
  • Uploaded Image (Thumbnail) 
  • Canvas Support Ticket – This will be either be sent directly to you (hardly ever unless you are on the ticket) or through TDX (this is where they will usually land). If you get one of these, you will need to log into the Canvas Admin Portal.  These ones look like this:

  • Sometimes the Canvas Admin will get a Canvas email request to share a course with another school. If you happen to delete those because it looks like many other emails from Canvas that we just delete.  You do not need to respond to these requests, just click approve.  Here is what these look like:

    • Log in as Canvas Admin 

    • Click SBCTC eLearning 

    • Click Manage 

    • Click Rosters 

    • Make sure you pick the correct quarter you want the share to happen in 

    • Click Direct Share 

    • Click Approve on all the courses that were requested to be shared.
