Create the RIOT/RPBH Course for International Orientation and Post Bacc Serives

The RIOT course needs to be created for all New International Students, and the RPBH course was created for Post Bacc students in STEM .   These courses need to be created after the quarter has been built (6 weeks before the course starts).

  1. Admin signs in 

  2. Click Admin 

  3. Click Shoreline Community College

  4. Click SBCTC eLearning 

  5. Click Manage 

    • Make sure that you are in the quarter you need to build the course in the drop-down menu 

  6. Click Rosters 

  7. Click Group 

  8. One at a time you need to Pick RIOT and then RPBH in the drop-down menu 

    1. RIOT:  Name it INTERNATIONAL-ORIENTATION-QTR for example INTERNATIONAL-ORIENTATION-F23 

    2. RPBH: Name it POST-BACC-SERVICES-Qtr for example POST-BACC-SERVICES-SU23 

  9. Click Add after/for each one. 

  10. Add the folks to the courses that need them (Yushin Wung to RIOT, Joyce Fagel and Julie Povik to RPBH). 

    1. Click on the link next to “student-group to course” at the top right of the page and it will redirect you to the course in Canvas 

    2. Go to the “People” tab and click “+ People”  

    3. Select “SIS ID” as the credential option and add people listed above to their respective courses 

    4. If the person you’re adding has access to multiple colleges through CTC link, select the correct (SCC) profile.  

  11. Then you will need to email the folks who need those courses to let them know that you created them and a link to that course.
